Wireless Indoor Outdoor Speakers

I have a Bose Lifestyle system that I want to expand outdoors ...?

I have a Bose Lifestyle system that I want to expand outdoors. Ideally the outdoor speakers would be wireless for sound but powered from a cable (I have power outside but no speaker wire). I am not an audio purist....I just want to have it audible and with enough base to cope with being outdoor. Does anyone have any advice on how to get reasonably good sound outside ? My budget is $300....but I could exceed that if needs be. Thanks for the answers so far. I had been thinking I needed : Speaker Selector - to switch between indoor and outdoor. Wireless Transmitter. Wireless Speakers. I guess the info I wanted was what equipment I needed to make it work and any recommendations for stuff people had that actually worked together. Would anyone recommend just getting rid of the Bose system which seems to be singularly inflexible and buying a whole new system ?

  1. If it is just speakers that you are looking for, I can suggest these nice folks: www.mcmelectronics.com They have a good selection of Home & Pro Audio Equipment & Accessories. Their prices are reasonable, too! I hope this is of some help 2 U!
  2. check out bestbuy.com and search for the rocketfish system in speakers here it is: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8275528&type=product&id=1171058476489 all you have to add is a pair of outdoor speakers. should fit your budget or less depending on which speakers you get. also the bose makes a system for lifestyle but it is expevsive. see it on bestbuy.com as well.
