Wireless Bluetooth Computer Speakers Knowledge Base
help with Bluetooth wireless speakers ? OK, so i just bought a Sony Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver to use with my Bose computer speakers wireless with my laptop. I have already paired the receiver and computer and and and the the speakers and the receiver correctly. However, the sound does not work. I know that they are paired and connected because i can test the speakers in my control panel. But no other sound from my computer comes out on the Bose speakers. Please help, Thanks
which computer speakers are better, wireless or bluetooth? anyone know which is better? any brands or model numbers that you like? I thought it would be nice to get a speaker system for my laptop. When i watch instant movies on Netflix it's hard to hear sometimes. My laptop only goes so loud and i want speakers that sound good with movies. any ideas? maybe i should get speakers with wires i guess they don't have to be wireless speakers but i thought that would be easier. not having to plug in everytime. i have a Compaq CQ50-139WM if that helps anyone. it seems to have a great sound card but only goes so loud. what do you think?
I am looking for good quality wireless 2.1 computer speakers? I have a Macbook Pro and I am looking for really good quality wireless 2.1 computer speakers. I have seen some that transmit via a USB dongle, which are alright, but what I am really looking for are speakers that don't have to connect to one another (possibly run on batteries) and connect to the computer via bluetooth. I want to be able to set them down on my desk, pair them with my Mac and use them without having any wires connecting them. Any ideas?
Wireless computer speakers? Okay. I'm looking for a decent pair of wireless computer speakers in order to play music from my MacBook. A friend has the Bose Soundlink system, which is awesome, but a little too expensive for me. So I guess something that is able to connect via USB/Bluetooth is ideal, and sound quality needs to be decent but not extraordinary. 300 bucks would probably be the most I'd want to spend. Thanks in advance
How do I get this wireless speaker with bluetooth to work? I was told that if I buy a wireless speaker (which I did, I got one by Sony) and then a blue tooth, that I could make it so that I can play all my music and radio stations from my computer to the wireless speaker in another room. Well I cannot get it to work, what am I doing wrong? Thank you! I am sorry, I know this question is kind of vague. Okay so my computer recognizes the blue tooth but not the speaker. Maybe I need that adapter you mentioned.

Bluetooth Speakers For A Mac? I need some help finding wireless bluetooth speakers that are Mac compatible. They need to play my iTunes library without being connected to my computer. Thanks
How to I wirelessly transmit video and audio from my computer to my TV and speaker system? I haven't bought a TV or speakers, but I'm going to want to transmit most of the regular cable/satalite programing, movies, audio through my computer into the TV and separate speaker system. Do they make Bluetooth TV sets and Bluetooth speaker systems, and even if they did would I be able to transmit from my computer to both or just one? What other wireless options are available to me the only cord I want attached to my TV is the power and wireless reviecer and same with my stereo system. How do I do it?
Using Bluetooth or other wireless, can more than one sound device be transmitted? to from a single computer so that, for example, a person carrying a Bluetooth speaker could be paged or provided with dedicated music? In what language could the programming be done and what devices are needed? Best choice for greater distance than Bluetooth? Sorry, dhvrm, but you missed the point of my question. I knew that two or more were possible as people are doing GPS and earphone. My question is: how does a programmer control where the sound goes. If there are two Bluetooth devices validated - say an earphone on Sally and a speaker in the kitchen, how do I send a voice message to just the speaker or just to Sally? Not streaming different stuff all the time but finding them and identifying them for transmission. Blue Tooth is required because of a program using Bluetooth accessing a GPS receiver. WiFi would be nice if a choice was available.
Bluetooth, wireless headset for computers? I bought the adapter and headset to use it like a wireless headset. I had the impression that It would work just like that. I'd be able to hear my any sound I'd be able to hear through the speakers. Yet, I'm not hearing anything. I installed the drivers at least twice and did what the manuals are telling me. Is there something I'm missing? Tech support isn't answering.
my laptop cant find my speakers using Bluetooth? I want to use my at&t Tilt cell phone as a wireless adapter to pick up interenet for my Desktop computer? I have a HP desktop computer that is pretty new and I have a cell phone I'm sure can plug into my computer via USB and use the phone to pick up internet for my computer. My phone picks up the wifi zone that I'm at and so I was thinking it could pick up the same for my computer. The options I see on my cell phone are these: 1. "Beam"....I don't know what that is. 2. Bluetooth 3. Connections....mentions about setting up a new modem conn. and VPN conn and proxy 4. GPRS Setting....don't know what that is either. gives an opt. of PAP or CHAP Authentication 5. USB to PC...Changing the type of USB connection your device uses can help with problems connecting active sync opt given: enable advance network Functionality 6. Wi-Fi...shows my wireless networks in range and the network adapter settings. It is defaulted on IEEE 802.11b/g Compatible Wifi 7. Wireless LAN.....just shows the SSID I'm connected with the mode and channel. 8. Wireless Manager Just shows all the wireless options I have. ie. bluetooth, wifi, speaker, email, etc. 9. Wireless Modem.... and this is where I think I need to look into more. it is mentioning about simulating this cell phone as a wireless modem, letting my pc be connected to a network wirelessly. I'm going to shut of my wifi adapter on my laptop and test it out. Also I don't have a data plan to go with the phone. I'm just using the Wifi function.
question about bluetooth capable computers? if i upgrade my computer to bluetooth capable, will it enable me to utilize my bluetooth headset as a "wireless" speaker/mic setup to use on skype or yahoo messenger for conversation purposes? Even if i get an adapter with BlueSoleil, will it still connect to my bluetooth headset?

Computer help? Here's the scenario. I'm looking to buy a computer which will be mainly used for gaming, watching films and also anything related to computer science since I am taking up this subject at college. My computer repairman has suggested to get a laptop. These are the specifications: HP Compaq Business Notebook 6820s Intel Core Duo Processor T2370 (1.73-GHz, 533- MHz FSB, 1-MB L2 cache) 17-inch diagonal WXGA+ BrightView (1440 x 900 resolution) 2GB (667MHz) DDR2 SDRAM 250-GB 5400 rpm SMART SATA Hard Disk Drive DVD+/-RW SuperMulti DL LightScribe Drive Intel Fast Ethernet Integrated Controller (10/100 NIC) 56K V.92 modem with digital line guard 802.11a/b/g Wireless & Bluetooth 102-key keyboard and touchpad ATI Mobility Radeon X1350 (64/128-bit 4-channel DDR 128Mb dedicated graphics memory) Integrated Speakers with 16bit stereo sound Lithium Ion Battery & more Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (with Recovery install facility included) Now, the thing that's putting me off is that before visiting my repairman I was considering a desktop as they seem to be more powerful. Also, a 22'' LCD screen would have been quite nice for the gaming and films. The laptop looks like an overall all-rounder for a laptop, but I have never had a laptop before, only a desktop so I want to know if buying this laptop over a desktop is the right decision. Help please?

How to hook up my PS3 (40GB) to my Dell 2405FPW Monitor? Okay, so I've hooked up the composite video (yellow) jack that came included from the PS3 to my monitor. However, this only allows a resolution of 480i for gaming on my PS3. First, some information about my monitor... Video inputs: D-Sub; DVI; S-Video; Composite; and Component. Also, it is not HDCP compliant. Okay, so what I've basically gathered in my knowledge so far is that my monitor is incapable of displaying in full 1080p using an HDMI-->DVI converter due to the lack of HDCP, which is fine because my PC is connected to the DVI port. I'm not quite interested in watching Blu-Rays on this system yet, I'll probably a FullHD TV for that. Since my system can't display 1080p, I found out that through using the component cables I can view at 1080i or 720p, and that's perfectly fine. I just want to get out of 480i. However, I'm not sure about the process of how to do this or exactly what cables I'll need. In addition, I don't have a means of listening to the audio. I've recently purchased some computer speakers, but they simply plug into the 3.5mm headphone jacks on my computer for their audio, and the PS3 unfortunately doesn't have one of those. I was hoping that someone could help me devise a way so that I can connect my Playstation 3 into my monitor so that I have both audio and 1080i video resolution. I just need to know EXACTLY what I'll need, such as adapters, cables, etc. for this rig to work, because at this point I'm confused for what is necessary. It's possible for me to return the speakers and purchase new ones for the set-up to work so that I can hear the sound from my PS3, but I would prefer to avoid that option if possible (though I will consider it if there is good reason to). I'd TRULY appreciate anyone that can help me on this subject since it is becoming a hassle to figure all this out on my own. Here's a link to a site with a lot of detailed pictures and information about my monitor: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/2405fpw/En/about.htm These are my PS3 specs: Communication Ethernet (10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T) IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi* Bluetooth 2.0 (EDR) Wireless Controller Bluetooth (up to 7) A/V Output Screen size: 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p HDMI**: HDMI out - (x1 / HDMI) Analog: AV MULTI OUT x 1 Digital audio: DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) x 1 Blu-ray/DVD/CD DRIVE "read only" I/O USB 2.0 X 2 Dimensions Approximately 325mm (W) x 98mm (H) x 274mm (D) Weight Approximately 5 kg CPU Cell Broadband Engine™ GPU RSX Memory 256MB XDR Main RAM 256MB GDDR3 VRAM Hard Drive 2.5' Serial ATA (40GB)

How do I use my iPod as a speaker? I want to be able to use my iPod touch as a wireless speaker for my macbook. I found an app that I thought would work called iSpeaker, but it only works on PC. My goal is to sit on one side of my room, and have my stereo on the other side of the room play whatever is playing on my computer. My internal speakers are busted, so I either have to hook up speakers or earbuds. Any apps anyone know of, is there way to do it via Bluetooth or something built in?

LCD Monitor to Play sound? At my office we have a Marquee screen that plays a powerpoint slideshow. The computer is in the office and all the wires go through the wall to the LCD Monitor that displays throughout the club. One of the slides has sound but the monitor does not have speakers. I have tried to put wireless speakers on the monitor and I connected it to a bluetooth device to the computer but this did not work. Connecting a wire from the computer to the LCD is not an option. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas..

how to connect my computer wirelessly to my stereo instead of using a cable? hey there. i am trying to renew my room and right now i have a desktop computer and connected to it is a sound system ( woofer and 4 independent wired speakers ) it has great sound. the name is "ALTEC lansing" dunno ifthat's something anyways, i am getting a macbook pretty soon and i would love to connect my laptop to that system but still have the mobility a laptop gives. instead of being connected by a cable from the audio out. is there a way that i can connect my mac ( or any laptop ) wirelessly to my sound system? to be simple: replace the audio cable with some sort of wireless connection. whatever it is... bluetooth, radio..etc. thanks alot in advance for helping me out. i'm not too good with these wireless sollutions UPDATE: i searched ever further through the internet and i think i found what i was looking for. i think it's called A2DP, a receiver that i plug my sound system to and connect to using my mac and send my tunes through it getting collected by the receiver and transmitted to the sound system to be played. is this correct?

USB Port problems: blue screen of death? I own a Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop. Just recently upgraded to Windows Service Pack 3. Went to plug in my bluetooth dongle into the computer's USB port, and got a blue screen of death message. I though it was the dongle, so i tried plugging in another USB device (the receiver for my wireless mouse); same result. Both messages said: "An attempt was made to execute non-executable memory". Now the weird part I cannot understand, is that i plugged in my Targus USB HUB (4 ports) into the same ports that gave me the BSOD earlier. Nothing happened, no BSOD, ran perfectly. Plugged the bluetooth dongle, USB speakers, keyboard and the wireless mouse receiver into the hub, and everything worked fine, no BSOD. Something I'm missing? Is this a good computer? I am a graphic design and photography student and I am ready to make the switch from pc to mac. The only thing is that i don't have the budget to buy a brand new one so I'm thinking of getting a used one. Here are the stats: • Processor: Intel Core Duo - 2000 • Processor Speed: 2.0 GHz • Hard Drive: 120GB • Memory: 1GB • Screen Size: 15.4" TFT • Resolution: WSXGA 1400x900 • Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard, no disks included • Primary Drive: DVD+/-RW • Floppy Drive: No Floppy Drive • Keyboard and Pointing Devices: Keyboard • Sound: Headphones - Sound card - Speaker(s) • PC Card Slots: Express 34 • Ports: Display, USB, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, S-Video TV Out, Wireless 802.11g, Bluetooth, Firewire 400 • Battery: Li-Ion, tested, good. We do not warranty battery life. • Weight: Approx. 5.5 lbs • Dimensions: Approx.14.1 in X 9.6 in X 1 in • Video Card: X1600 256MB So my question is, based on the stats: Does this seem like a decent commuter to start with? How does it compare with the latest version of MacBook Pro? Is it worth te price($850)? How will it compare to my current PC (dell inspiron, 1GB ram, 80GB hard drive, 2.33 GHz)?

How Can I hear the Bluetooth microphone through the sound card? I Want To Use My BT mic as a wireless microphone, to connect the sound card output to an amplifier I already have at my lecture hall. This way my students can hear me when I'm writing on the board. For this I need to connect between Bluetooth microphone and sound-card I can make all input come from BT mic and send all output to sound card speaker but it works only for programs like a sound recorder, there is no direct connection between the mike and speakers. I think that I need a connecting program I have tried a sound recorder but it has a long delay. I have tried to use a karaoke program and a DJ mixer that controls 2 sound-cards, but they did not have the option to choose the BT mic for input. Even when the BT was the default sound card the programs directed the computer Mic into the BT earphone, but could not direct the sound the other way. I think there is some thing inherent in the BT system Because you never hear yourself via BT. I have BT 2.01 by Toshiba installed and configured for my headset. I can speak and hear well. But in order to amplify my speech I have to make a Skype call between 2 PCs (It has better sound quality than with a recorder). I want to amplify me speech with one PC. I do not see a solution in the first answer.

My computer keeps crashing using IE or Firefox!? I purchased a brand new relatively well quipped laptop 3 days ago. From day one, right out of the box (with no downloads or tweaks) I experienced IE 7.0 crashing every 5-10 minutes; sometimes where it would recover from and sometimes where it would completely shut down. After I lost my patience I posted a question on answers and people seemed to agree I should try Firefox, so I downloaded and began using 3.0.5 only to experience crashing in Firefox as well that was equally as disruptive as IE. I am really at my wits end because I mostly use the computer for internet browsing. I am also very unhappy with the restart time which is two minutes and sixteen seconds (I actually timed it) which seems crazy for a Core 2 Duo processor with 4 gig of ram. Is this a vista thing? I believe I have ruled out IE 7.0 by replicating the same problem with Firefox. Need help with some specifics on buying a new laptop? I received a scholarship for $1200 which is going to go to my laptop purchase. I have a few extra dollars that, If I need to, I will throw in, but I don't want to spend extra money if I can save it. I use my computer mostly for internet usage, and downloading/storing/listening to music. I am majoring in Architecture so a year or two into college I might need to install a CAD program. My ideal configuration totals just over $1400. It includes: -Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7200 (2.0GHz, 4MB L2cache, 667MHz FSB) -Vista Home Premuim -2GB DDR2 667MHz SDRAM -nVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 w/ 128MB dedicated graphics memory -160GB HDD (5400rpm) -Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN and also including bluetooth and a speaker upgrade. Should I downgrade the processor to the Core 2 Duo Processor T5500 (1.66GHz, 2MB L2cache, 667MHz FSB) and/or the memory to 1GB DDR2 667MHz SDRAM (also 512MB x 2 or 1GB x 1?) and/or the HDD to 120GB HDD (5400rpm)? The minimal new total would be about $1120. What would the extra MB of memory exactly do for me? Also, the only option is Windows Vista, Basic or Premium. XP isn't an option
