How do I to hook up Wireless Outdoor Speakers to an older stereo? I have an older JVC stereo system and want to hook up wireless outdoor speakers to it, but the JVC has the old style wire clamp system for the speakers. Is there some sort of adapter I can get? I have the transmitter, there's just no way to hook it up to the stereo, because it does not have output jacks.
Is there a way to hook my outdoor wireless speaker to work with my wired speakers? Only one will work at a time. I have a aux in, video output, audio output and a coaxial output. And of course a headphone in but if I plug it into that it immediately shuts down the wired speakers. Which is what I'm trying not to do. I want them to work simultaneously. My wireless speaker has a regular single post connection.
how do wireless outdoor speakers work? I'm looking at them online, but i don't understand the transmitter part. Some of them have ipods attached in the pictures. What all can you hook up to the transmitter, cd players, radio, ipods etc...?
Looking into wireless outdoor speakers. Any suggestions? Doing a lot of reaserch (comapring, reading reviews, etc.) but have yet to listen to any. Any advice you have as to what to look at and avoid would be appreciated. This maight help. Cost is really not a huge issue, as most of the ones I have seen are fairly reasonable (>$300). I am wanting to go in the garden around my back patio. I live in a neighborhood with houses pretty close on the 3 sides of the back yard.
wireless outdoor speakers for around $100? Does anybody know have a good wireless outdoor speaker for around $100. How about a speaker shaped like a stone or rock? I think I have found a wireless set, bus it is not getting good reviews. I also think I found one shaped like a rock, but I can't tell if it is wireless or not? thanks to everybody that replies.
I can't find reviews on the Sharper Image Outdoor Wireless Speakers, does anyone know how well they work? We're thinking about buying them for our backyard, but we aren't sure how great they'd work. And I can't find any reviews online anywhere! Anyone out there have these and know how well they work? Thanks!!! I am completely aware that the Sharper Image has gone out of business, but these are located at the Linens N Things by us, which is also going out of business, and I can get them for like 50% off, but of course there are no returns. So I wanted to find out if it's worth spending the money on them. Thanks.
Question About Sharper Image Wireless Speakers? Hello Friends ~ A while back, I purchased Sharper Image's Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Mini Speakers (Model No. CT413). When I bought them, I immediately set them up to work with my stereo/cds, but now I forgot how I did it and cannot find my manual... Does anyone know how to set these up? What do I do? I completely forget how I set them up. Thank you.
Do wireless speakers work? I went to Circuit City last night to see if I could get a good deal on an outdoor wireless speaker (since they're supposedly having a going out of business sale). To my disappointment, they did not have any in stock. The clerk I spoke with told me that they have never carried these in the store because the quality is just not worth the price. I told him I wasn't looking for studio quality, just half-decent quality so that I could listen to my stereo on the patio. I have an Onkyo receiver with A/B speaker switch so that I can listen to music both indoors and outdoors at the same time, or just one or the other. Unfortunately, my outdoor speakers are no longer working (they actually work fine, but the wiring to them is no longer working). So I wanted to buy a wireless outdoor speaker so that I can continue listening to music. The clerk told me that wireless speakers are junk and not worth the purchase. Can anybody tell me if this is actually true?

Wireless Speaker and Home Theatre? Hi I want to add wireless stereo outdoor speakers to my existing home theatre system Sony STR-DG720. It appears all wireless speaker transmiters only have a headphone jack or RCA jack. If I hook it up to the headphone jack on the receiver I will only get audio out of my wireless speakers and not my home theatre (wired speakers) as well. Is there any way (or brand) to hook wireless speakers up so I can get sound out of all my speakers at the same time? Thanks! I think I wasn't clear. The wireless speaker transmitter that attaches to the receiver only has a 3.5mm jack similar to a headphone jack. If I were to plug the 3.5mm jack into the headphone port it would stop audio from playing through the rest of my speakers.

Wireless speakers? I'd like to find a wireless speaker system, but I am not sure where to start looking. I'd like a simple system that can connect to my ipod. Would like good to great sound quality. A big key would be expandability (i.e. single transmitter which allows for additional speakers to be added at another time, or maybe I can connect it to my DVD player). I'd also like the speakers to be indoor/outdoor, although I don't know if that makes any difference. Our new house has a huge deck and I'd like to have tunes pump out there. Any advice?
What is the best way to install outdoor speakers on my back porch? I'd ideally like to install speakers outside that are connected to my computer so I can play music directly from my itunes (~50' away). Do I need a receiver/amplifier to be able to do this, can I do it through a wireless connection? I have a dvd receiver all-in-one system (LG - 5.1 surround) in my living room (another ~50' away from my computer), but it doesn't have dual-zone sound, and I don't believe it has any other type of additional outputs. I'm not sure if the sound quality would suffer if I ran wire from my computer to the receiver (50'), then all the way back to the porch (100') for a total of ~150' of speaker wire. Could I use some sort of speaker selector that I could place near my receiver. Would this allow me to press a button and choose between my living room speaker set-up, and the speakers I would install on the back porch. Preferably, I'd like something wireless, if that's not reasonable what are my options?
Outdoor Theater Sound System question? Hi there- We would like to show a movie outdoors for about 100-200 people. Our big question is about speakers- we'd like them to be wireless so people aren't tripping on them. So, has anyone used two wireless speakers outside? Could 200 people hear sound from them easily? Or, can four wireless speakers run off the same transmitter? Thanks for any insights!
Want to get music from my cable box to play out doors on my deck? I have a single channel stereo system in the house that is conected to the box. Can I get a wireless audio tran/reciever connect the transmitter to the cable box and the reciever to a seperate stereo reciever on the deck connected to my outdoor speakers? Picking up the cable channel playing inside and transmiiting the signal out side? Any recommended brands to buy or stay away from?
Home theater/audio suggestion, please? Budget <$500. Desire to watch TV/movies in surround sound and play music via iPod, CD, radio both inside and outside (room already pre-wired for outdoor speakers). Currently have old iPod shuffle, but hope to upgrade to new iPod Nano soon. Wireless speakers a plus. So I believe I need a true receiver (like Onkyo), for the audio out for the outdoor speakers, but I also don't want to buy something that will be outdated in a couple years (i.e. one w/o HDMI?). Would be great to be able to listen to music inside and outside at same time (A/B switch?). Not an audioholic, but appreciate good value. Any suggestions on a system?
Musci in my patio? Here is my project. I want to listen to music in my patio with the following constraints.. 1) No drilling in walls to run wires 2) Some sort of wireless interface is preferred so I can stream audio from my pc. Im open to moving and ipod back/forth in and out also if not for wireless 3) I can find cheap outdoor speakers but how can I get a decent and cheap amplifier to juice it up ? 4) Can I just connect an ipod to a pair of bookshelf speakers ? Will it be loud ?
Can you advise me on a comprehensive home audio setup? I have a bunch of different pieces of equipment, but I have a big house and I want to put something together that makes sense and has multi-room functionality. As it is right now, I can't listen to the same thing in more than one room, and I don't feel like I have a central location in which to play music from. I wish to improve this with something smart and (hopefully) simple. I'd like to work with my equipment if possible, but I'm open to other ideas if I'm better off without it. Here's what all I have to work with: One Onkyo HIB (5 small speakers, passive sub, tuner), One Yamaha Tuner, one cheap set of outdoor speakers, one pc with a decent external speaker set, one macbook laptop, a wireless network, and 2 ipods. Thanks very much!
Best Underwater Speaker? I'm building an outdoor theater in my pool area, I'm looking for a good speaker that will allow the movie/music to be played underwater. Does anyone have any suggestions? Wireless would be a plus!!

I have a Bose Lifestyle system that I want to expand outdoors ...? I have a Bose Lifestyle system that I want to expand outdoors. Ideally the outdoor speakers would be wireless for sound but powered from a cable (I have power outside but no speaker wire). I am not an audio purist....I just want to have it audible and with enough base to cope with being outdoor. Does anyone have any advice on how to get reasonably good sound outside ? My budget is $300....but I could exceed that if needs be. Thanks for the answers so far. I had been thinking I needed : Speaker Selector - to switch between indoor and outdoor. Wireless Transmitter. Wireless Speakers. I guess the info I wanted was what equipment I needed to make it work and any recommendations for stuff people had that actually worked together. Would anyone recommend just getting rid of the Bose system which seems to be singularly inflexible and buying a whole new system ?
