What bookshelf or indoor/outdoor speakers under $100 are good? I'm just wondering, I want to get a new pair of bookshelf or indoor/outdoor speakers (something that can be hung on the wall) and I want to know what speaker will give me the best bass on a strict budget (under $100 per pair to be exact). I mostly use my speakers for clubbin/techno/dance/electronic type music and need to achieve the best bass without having a huge subwoofer in my tiny room. Any ideas?

What is the best portable speaker system that I can plug my ipod into? I need it for indoor/outdoor parties and sometimes small indoor gatherings. Quality and range is very important to me. However, outdoor parties require some volume. I have ruled out the bose and are comparing the B&O beo1 and beo3, and the zep from B&W. I dont mind spending B&O price if its better, but, is it? Possibly something else? please help! thanks.
home speaker to reciever setup help!? alright so for fathers day i want to get my dad some Outdoor speakers for his home audio...they are wired and his audio box is inside, but thats a later problem. anyways the speakers i am looking at are ATO52W - Phoenix Gold 5-1/4" Indoor/Outdoor 2-Way Speakers, and i want to hook them up to his old Akai, Tokyo AV-M313. The speakers are 8 ohms, and so is the amplifier...i know a good lot about car audio i just wanna make sure these will work well with this amp. the speakers are rated 25-100 watts and his amplifier is 60 watts, pretty fair matchup i think, as far as speakers go. My sister was looking at 2-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers NS-AW150W (White), the only problem i see is that the speakers are 6 ohms each, so i believe that would blow my Dads amp reciever. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! i know its a bit last minute for fathers day this was my sisters idea and i noticed the impedance...so i dont wanna make it a disaster!. Any knowledge on these speakers as well as home audio thatd be great! Again the speakers are meant to go outside, how to get them there from inside is another problem lol.
What size power supply (AC to DC converter) do I need for a car stereo? I am going to hook up a car stereo inside a weatherproof box on my deck and I need to find a power supply to run it. I want to find something that I can plug into the wall that will supply enough 12volt power to run the stereo. How many amps does it need to produce to avoid tripping the unit? Most of the ones I've seen at Radio Shack, etc., only produce about 10 amps. Is this enough? I am going to hook up 2 of the Bose indoor/outdoor speakers to it, and that's all. Any suggestions for a small, reasonable, power supply that will do the trick?
Need help with understanding science behind PA Speaker system? Short Version: 1. I have 100 Watt PA Loudspeaker and a 4W output CB radio. How many decibels are being produced? 2. Which would be better in making it louder with the least amount of distortion: line level booster or amplifier or other? 3. How many decibels would be produced with the louder set up? Long Version: Hi, I currently have a 100-Watt PA Indoor/Outdoor Powerhorn® Speaker (Link 1) hooked up to a Cobra 19 DX IV 40-channel CB radio (Link 2) that I believe produces 4 Watts of output due to FCC regulations, however, I only use it for the PA system and not for the CB radio due to the fact that I have no antenna. How would I increase the volume produced over the PA speaker? If you could provide me with how many db's my current set up is producing and how much it would produce with your suggestions, I would appreciate it. Also, which would be better suited to make it louder with the least amount of distortion: a line level booster (Link 3) or an amp or something else? Link 1: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103339 Link 2: http://www.amazon.com/Cobra-19DXIV-40-Channel-Compact-Radio/dp/B00083KUVS) Link 3: http://www.htd.com/speaker-cables-accessories/line-level-gain-boosters/LGB-1 Thanks! I'm looking to increase the loudness so if you could tell me how much louder it would be in comparison to the old set up, that would work just as well as telling me the db. Once again, thanks for any answers.
if ac adapter and batteries used, which power source used first? I have an indoor/outdoor speaker system. When it is outside, I'd like to use the batteries, and inside, I'd like to use the adapter. Do I need to remove the batteries when inside so as not to deplete them, or would plugging in the ac adapter cause the power to come from ac adapter instead of the batteries?
What's the best way to remove high strength adhesive residue when goo gone doesn't work? I used an indoor/outdoor (very strong) double-sided side to mount speaker wire housing to the tops of my walls. Now that I am moving I need to remove all the housing and I'm left with adhesive residue that is a major pain to get off the walls. I tried goo gone, heating with a hair dryer and nothing seems to work. I also need to try to avoid damaging the walls. Any ideas?
What are the best speakers? I have a 600 watt Onkio amp and I was looking to have speakers both inside and outside of my home. I need either 6 or 8 indoor/outdoor speakers. What would be the best bang for my buck? I don't mind spending a little more if the quality is worth it. thanks :)

Wireless speakers? I'd like to find a wireless speaker system, but I am not sure where to start looking. I'd like a simple system that can connect to my ipod. Would like good to great sound quality. A big key would be expandability (i.e. single transmitter which allows for additional speakers to be added at another time, or maybe I can connect it to my DVD player). I'd also like the speakers to be indoor/outdoor, although I don't know if that makes any difference. Our new house has a huge deck and I'd like to have tunes pump out there. Any advice?

Reception alternatives?? (NO DJ!)? Hi all i am getting married this summer at a small lodge on the lake with 50ppl. It is an indoor/outdoor reception (under a tent and there is a small space inside) The five oclock ceremony is ouside and dinner to follow under the tent... Because of where it is i have a very hard time finding vendors, and planning it long distance does not make it any easier! I really don't want to hire a DJ for the prices im given and the fact that the space indoor is just alittle too small. After researching online the ideas given for alternatives are for mostly mid day (outdoor games) But this will all be happening at night, with an open bar and all. Will background music off my home speakers and ipod cut it for the night??? I want my guests to have fun any suggestions?!
Party help? Husband's 40th Birthday? I am having a party at my house for my husbands 40th. I have the food (lots of appetizers), cake, keg and some decor covered. I am thinking about hiring a DJ for some dance or should I just use the Ipod with speakers. Problem 1: I don't have enough seating for everyone (18 seats vs. 50-60 people). Problem 2: I don't want anyone to get bored - I have music - it will be indoor/outdoor - should I have some other type of activity or just let it go? I was thinking of a roast or having everyone come with a story - when would I do this. If I have left anything out or you have an idea I would love to hear it.
Will multiple wireless outdoor speakers work off of one transmitter if they are both the same model? Specifically, the Sharper Image Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Speaker with Audio Transmitter, but info on any other make will help as well. I need more than one speaker, but only have one output.
